Em 1996 nasce o grupo de música tradicional mirandesa Galandum Galundaina, com o objectivo de recolher, investigar e divulgar o património musical, as danças e a língua das terras de Miranda. O grupo faz a ligação entre a antiga geração de músicos e a geração mais jovem, assegurando a continuidade da rica tradição cultural desta região, que durante anos correu o risco de se perder.

Senhor Galandum foi editado em 2009 e tem a participação especial de Sérgio Godinho, Uxía, Luís Peixoto, Hugo Correia, Abílio Topa, João Paulo, Ellodora Ventura e Coro Infantil de La EB1 de Miranda de l Douro

In the year of 1996 the band Galandum Galundaina is born with the purpose to study, investigate and show the traditional music, dances and the language from the region of Miranda do Douro (the Mirandese plateau, northwest Portugal). The band makes the connection between the elder musicians generation and the younger generation, ensuring the continuity of this region’s rich cultural tradition, that for years was about to disappear.
