A cada quatro anos, no mês de Julho, realiza-se na cidade de Tomar uma das manifestações culturais e religiosas mais antigas de Portugal - A Festa dos Tabuleiros.

A Festa dos Tabuleiros ou Festa do Divino Espírito Santo é uma das manifestações culturais e religiosas mais antigas de Portugal. Segundo os investigadores a sua origem encontra-se nas festas de colheitas à deusa Ceres e a sua cristianização pode dever-se à Rainha Santa Isabel (sec. XIV).

The Festival of the Trays (“Festa dos Tabuleiros”) watch is an homage to the festival held in Tomar. " it is one of the largest of its kind in Portugal. Historically, this Festival has its roots back to the 16th century in the cult of the Holy Spirit that remounts earlier to the reign of King Diniz (1279-1324) and his wife Queen Isabel.
